Mental health is an important part of our health and well-being. While there is evidence to show the links between HIV infection, gender, sexuality and socio-economic status with mental health, there is no evidence describing the interplay of these factors and how they impact mental wellbeing and health among trans women living with HIV in Canada. This study aims to understand the association between life factors at the individual, clinical, social as well structural level, and the mental wellbeing of this group of women. With these results, we can begin to understand and respond to the mental health needs of trans women living with HIV with a more objective vision, creating an opportunity to promote overall quality of life for these women.
